The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 34-year-old RaShun Trott and extends condolences to his family and friends.

It has now been confirmed that Mr. Trott was discovered in an unresponsive state inside a North Court Avenue, Pembroke residence after what is believed to be an industrial accident around 5.45 p.m. Tuesday, February 7.

Despite life saving efforts at the scene which continued as he was transported via ambulance to hospital, Ra Shun was pronounced dead at 6.20 p.m. that day.

Foul play is not suspected. However, an autopsy is anticipated.

Meanwhile PLP MP Michael Weeks extends his condolences to the family of Mr. Trott: "As the MP for Constituency 16, Pembroke East Central, I was deeply saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Mr. RaShun Trott. Rashun was a personable young man and well respected in the community.

"He and his family have always been supporters of the Progressive Labour Party and RaShun was very proud to have become a member of the party in August of 2016 and we were honoured to have him. The community has experienced a great loss.

"On behalf of my wife, family and the Progressive Labour Party, I extend heartfelt condolences to RaShun's young son, who he leaves behind, his parents, Roger and Gina Trott and their extended family. May you all find comfort in your memories of RaShun. Peace be with you!"
